Yvonne Ann Taylor, daughter of the late James "Billy" Banks and Corine Banks, was born on July 18, 1942, in Epworth, VA.  She transitioned from this earthly life on April 30, 2026, at her home in Fayetteville, NC.

Ann, as she was affectionately known, received her education in King William County, VA.

On September 1,1962, she married the love of her life, John Christian Taylor.  Being a military wife was rewarding.

She worked for several years at the Class VI Store and Courrier for Bragg Mutual Federal Credit Union. She attended Catholic Church in Fort Bragg.

Besides her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John Christian Taylor, Sr., MSG Ret. U.S. Army of 57 years; and one son, John Christian Taylor, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Erika Drummond (Michael); one son, Mervin Taylor (Anitra); furry son, Charlie Taylor; brother, James H. "Jimmy" Banks (Shelia); one sister-in-love, Helen Juanita Wells; one grandson, Christian Taylor; two bonus grandsons, Michael Drummond, Jr. and Dwayne Wellons; and devoted friends and neighbors, Rev. James and Vivian Fields and family, Jerron and Shelia Ray, Lillian Mims, and Debreth Gregory; cousins, Carol Trent and James Gaines; several nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces and great nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM,  Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Chapel of the J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Herbert Holly II, eulogist. Interment to follow in the City Point National Cemetery, Hopewell, VA.
