Yolanda Zanetta Ricks departed this life on January 5, 2026, at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She was born on February 9, 1962, to John R. Hack, Sr. and Ethel M. Ricks in Brooklyn, New York.

Yolanda graduated from Bayridge High School in Brooklyn. She enjoyed music and traveling to Virginia to be with her cousins and her Aunt Fannie.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her father, John R. Hack, Sr.; grandparents, William Ricks, Helen Ricks, Burley Hack and Fannie Hack; and her siblings, Jacquelline Powell, Cynthia James, Michael Grace, Graig Satchell and Demetrice Hallett.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Jerrell Ricks, mother, Ethel M. Ricks; sisters, Yvette Ayers and Stacey Hack-Atkins; brothers, Alterick Wilson, Travis Hallett Hack, Dwight Hallett, Jeffrey Hallett and John R. Hack, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A committal service will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Capron Cemetery, 17655 Pinopolis Road, Capron, VA.

Viewing will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at William M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 224 S. Main Street, Franklin, VA.
