Obituary

Vivian Louise Jackson Clark, peacefully departed this life on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend whose kindness, strength, and quiet wisdom touched the lives of many.

Born in Cumberland County, VA to the late Ellen Taylor Jackson and Robert Lee Jackson, she was the youngest of six siblings. She was known for her sweet loving spirit, warm smile, and being a faithful steward of the Lord.

Vivian devoted her life to the service of others through both her professional career and her steadfast commitment to her faith. She faithfully served with Chesterfield County Public Schools at Matoaca Middle School, for 24 years, retiring in May of 2000. Throughout her years in education, she was admired for her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the students, families, and colleagues whose lives she so graciously impacted.

A devoted woman of faith, she was a longtime and active member of Union Grove Baptist Church in South Chesterfield, VA. Her life was a reflection of faithful service, humility, and love for both her church family and community.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, George Clark; children, Gary Clark (Valencia), Cynthia Clark, Alencia Clark, and Vernon Clark (Janice); grandchildren, Tiffany Bellamy (Michael), Carmen Evans, Antwan Jennings, Ashley Dugger (Diontae), Shauntez Ivory (Cordero), Ashley Williams (Tyrone), Gary D. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert Lee Jackson and Ellen Taylor Jackson; sisters, Christine Stokes and Harriet Parker; and her brothers, Robert B. Jackson, James Melvin Jackson, and Simuel Jackson.

Though she requested a simple memorial, her life leaves a lasting legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue for generations to come.
