Tre'Von L.
Lee-Hunter
Dec 31, 1997 — Mar 21, 2026
Tre'Von Lytrell Lee-Hunter, age 28, peacefully departed on March 21, 2026 after fighting a difficult health journey with strength and grace. Tre'von was born in Petersburg, VA on December 31, 1997. At an early age, he dedicated his life to Christ and was a member of New First Baptist Church. Tre'Von was educated in Petersburg Public School System graduating in 2016. He then began a career with Amazon, where he contributed with hard work and dedication. Though his health ultimately limited his days, his spirit remained radiant, and his impact on those who loved him was lasting and true.
Tre was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Inez Hunter and grandmother, Jacqueline Hunter; and his paternal grandparents, Dora L. Haskins and Albert Lee.
Tre's legacy of strength will live on through his devoted mother, Inez Hunter and father, Kevin Lee. He is survived by his grandfather, Harold Taylor; brother, TreShaun Mason-Lee, aunt Monique Hunter; cousins, Arnaejah Spratley, Tremell Missouri, Tyonna Missouri, and Jaquaya Pettaway; godmother, Anjanette Thornton; his devoted friends since childhood, Kevin Crenshaw, Jr., Kweli Crenshaw, Tariq Pope, Sharif Laney, Jhamare Hobbs, and Kemoni Hobbs. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, too many to name who all played a significant role in his life.
A devoted enthusiast of gaming, he delighted in long nights of friendly competition, strategy, and teamwork, always emphasizing good sportsmanship and camaraderie. A fan of the Washington Commanders, he brought the same enthusiasm and sense of COMMUNITY to game days, whether at home or with friends who gathered to share the thrill of every play. He loved the rituals of game day—the anticipation, the celebrations, and the shared memory-making that comes with cheering for a team alongside those you care about most.
Those who knew him remember his infectious smile, his generous nature, and his ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. He carried a quiet strength and a gentle resilience that inspired others to show up with more kindness, more patience, and more laughter. He had an awesome sense of humor with a deep love of family and friends.
As we grieve, we also celebrate a life well lived—a life that reminds us to smile, to be present, and to love without reservation. His memory will forever live in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 2, 2026, at New First Baptist Church, 1346 Grant Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Robert A. Harney, Jr., eulogist.
