Tananglea Bailey-Coleman, age 51, of Petersburg, Virginia, was born to Oliver H. Bailey and Mary A. Bailey on October 7, 1974, in Sussex County, Virginia. She departed this life on March 28, 2026, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia.

Tanangela graduated from Sussex Central High School, Class of 1992. She attended Saint John Baptist Church under the leadership of Associate Pastor Rev. Freeman.

Tananglea was employed with Sussex State Prison, and she also worked at Central State. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and cooking.

Tananglea was preceded in death by two uncles, William Atkins and James Atkins; aunt, Bertha Atkins; and her mother and father-in-law, Amy and Rorris Coleman.

Tananglea leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Kennth Coleman, Sr.; daughter, Morgan Bailey; stepchildren, Kennth Coleman, Jr. and Bonisha Coleman; her parents, Oliver H. Bailey and Mary A. Bailey; sisters, Valentina Bailey and Shameika Price; aunts, Nellie Williams, Bernice Taylor, Sarah Atkins, Alma Doizer, Georgia Atkins and Doretha Atkins; uncles, Major Atkins and Robert Thomas Atkins; sisters-in-law, Debbera Coleman and DeNette C. Byrd; brother-in-law, Rorris D. Coleman; nieces, Olexcia Wyche and Ava Jones; devoted friends, Shameika Price, Karen Scott and Stephanie Hall; and a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Charles White, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
