Shepherd Mother
Imogene M. Campbell
Sep 21, 1937 — Nov 30, 2025
Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
Our Shepherd Mother Imogene M. Campbell transitioned from this earthly realm to eternal rest on November 30, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Mary C. and Wade H. Miller.
Mother Imogene was born on September 21, 1937, in Filbert, West Virginia, along with her twin, Baby Jean, who did not survive. She began her early education in Filbert and continued in the Bluefield City Public School System, graduating from Genoa Park Central High School in Bluefield, West Virginia. After high school, she pursued higher education at Bluefield State College and later attended Beauty School in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She later married the late Andrew W. Campbell, Jr., and to this union four children were born. Extensive travel with the military eventually led her to settle in Prince George County, Virginia.
Mother Imogene retired from the federal government after 31 years of service and continued working in the Prince George County School System for 10 years.
She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Northside United Holiness Church in Bluefield, West Virginia. During her travels, she worshiped at many post chapels until settling in Prince George, Virginia, where she joined St. Luke (now Word of Life Center) under the leadership of Bishop R.H. Cross and the late Mother Catharine Cross. For more than 50 years, she faithfully served in the Missionary Department, Diaconate, Evangelical Chorus, and Praise Team. Served as president of Junior & Senior Usher Boards, and Sunday School Superintendent.
Mother Imogene was known for her unwavering kindness, generous heart, and dedication to family and community. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and the cherished memories she created.
