Rosetta A. Martin, age 86, of South Chesterfield, Virginia departed this life on November 13, 2025, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia. She was born on February 18, 1939, in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania to the late Billy Sr. and Lucille Gordon Cribbs.

Rosetta graduated from Belle Vernon High School in Pennsylvania. She married Lewis Martin, Sr. and to their union two sons and one daughter was born.

Rosetta worked at Virginia State University and retired from VCU Health where she worked as a secretary in the children's ward. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Petersburg, Virginia. She also was a member of the Red Hatters Society.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Burrow Martin; two sisters, Cynthia Nance and Karen Ivory; and her nephew, Kevin Cribbs.

Rosetta is survived by two sons, Robert Martin and Louis Martin; grandchildren, Maria Martin, Cory Martin, Jesse Burrow III and Damari Burrow; great grandchildren, Jariana Mabrey, Demari Burrow, Ke'hlani Dabney and Malakhi Burrow; nieces and nephews, Shelia Mosley (James), Michelle Williams, Ralph Bell, Rufus Nance, Shawn Irving, Loretta Bellamy, Robert Cribbs, Arlene Cribbs, Keary Nance, Dana Nance, Charlene Joyner, Robert Joyner, Keisha Fisher, Tyrone Fisher and Melodie Cribbs; devoted friends, Nannie Gones, Ernestine Moore, Elsie Gholson and Maurice Peterson; devoted caregivers, Angela Lundy, Shelia Mosely and Kayla Mosely; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 236 Harrison Street, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Tillman, Pastor/eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
