Obituary

A woman whose life was filled with love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable joy, Rosa Wyatt entered eternal rest unexpectedly at the residence of her beloved daughter. Though our hearts are broken by her sudden passing, we are forever grateful for the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she touched along the way.

Rosa was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence could light up any room. She never met a stranger. Whether you knew her for years or only moments, she welcomed everyone with open arms, a warm smile, and hugs. Before parting ways, she would always leave you with her famous words, "I'm going to love y'all and leave y'all." Those words now echo in the hearts of everyone blessed to know her.

Rosa dedicated many years of service to caring for others. She faithfully worked for over twenty years at Southside Regional Medical Center before later continuing her work with Wonder City Rehabilitation and Nursing. Her compassion for people extended far beyond and it was simply who she was. She loved deeply and found joy in being surrounded by family, friends, music, dancing, and making memories. If there was a good time to be had, Rosa was going to be there. Rosa always had a sense for the latest fashion and knew how to put herself together like no other. No matter where she was going, when you saw her, she was always stylish, classy, and dressed to impress.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Levi Wyatt; mother, Mary Frenzley; father, Colbert Frenzley, Sr.; mother-in-law, Virginia Mason; devoted sisters, Helen Coakley, Mary Alston, Doris Frenzley, Georgia Frenzley and Winnie Rives; and her devoted brothers, Thomas Frenzley and Colbert Frenzley, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her only daughter, the apple of her eye and her very best friend, Veronica Brooks of Hopewell, VA; four devoted grandchildren whom she helped love, nurture, and raise, Vashay Frenzley of Prince George, VA, Delvont'e Frenzley of Petersburg, VA, Callie Frenzley and Caiya Frenzley both of Hopewell, VA.

Rosa's love continued through her seven treasured great-grandchildren whom she spoiled endlessly until her very last days, Azahya Pair, Azareya Pair, Anazhia Garner, Anylah Garner, Ty'Lai Graves, Mekhi Banks, and Mekhila Banks. She was also overjoyed and excited to welcome her newest blessing, her great-great-grandson, Ah'Mazi Thomas.

She additionally leaves to cherish her memory her beloved siblings, Benjamin Frenzley, Helen Bowles, Barbara Johnson (Langston), and Thelma Jones (Melvin) all of Petersburg, VA. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters-in-law, Warren Wyatt (Lulia), Jesse Wyatt, Merciel Anderson, and Regina Bullard.

Rosa also shared a very special bond with a host of loving nieces and nephews whom she adored dearly, especially her devoted nephews, Richard Frenzley and Ronnie Rives.

Among those closest to her heart was her devoted "Golden Girl," Carolyn Davis, along with very devoted and loving friends who became family, Brenda Mason, Ester Maye and Mary Hayes.

Though Rosa may no longer walk beside us physically, her love, laughter, wisdom, and spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Her family finds peace in knowing that Heaven has gained an angel whose love knew no limits. She taught us how to love hard, laugh often, and hold family close.

And just as Rosa always say before leaving… "I'm going to love y'all and leave y'all."
