Reverend Ricky B. Wilford, Chesterfield, VA, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025 at 4:19 pm. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Ricky was born in Chicago, Illinois to Luther and Shirley Wilford. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his Savior. He was ordained as a minister at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church on July 3, 2003. Ricky was a faithful and dedicated member at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years. Ricky will be remembered for his faith, love, service to others, generosity, and his cooking skills that he proudly shared with all who knew him.

Ricky was a loyal fan of the Bears, Bulls, and Cubs. Ricky leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Tammie; his one and only daughter, Bridget Wilford; two sons, Michael and Marvin (Sarinate); his mother, Shirley Wilford; his brothers, Eura Wilford (Benita) and Eric Wilford (Terri); his aunt, Jean Sandford; his uncles, Herb Fields and Charles Fields, two grandchildren, M'Li Ljanae and Michael Landon; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Peterson and Jody Peterson (Cyndi), sisters-in-law, Mertis Peterson (Tommy), Allison Casborn (Abraham), and Doretha Williams (Eric); special cousins, Joy Sandford and Laura Murphy; bonus family, Reverend Rena Mae Dial and Mr. William Dial, Mr. & Mrs. Reginald Williams, Deacon Columbus & Ammie Shackleford, Mary Martin, and Mother Willie Mae White; special friend, Eric Washington; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Luther Wilford, Jr.; grandfather, Luther Wilford, Sr.; his beloved grandmother, Rosa Lee Fields; his grandfather; great-grandparents; three uncles, Leon Fields, Hilton Fields, and Lavelle Fields.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 4405 Prince George Drive, Prince George, VA, the Rev. F. Lamont Gooding, Pastor, eulogist.
