Quinton Deantray Sligh was born on August 3, 1977, to Pauline Wyche and Arthur Sligh. He was also blessed with the love and guidance of his stepfather, Robert Wyche.
On September 26, 2026, Quinton peacefully departed this life at UVA Health. Although his family would have loved to have more time with him, they are grateful for the years, memories, laughter, and love they shared with him.
Quinton accepted Christ and was baptized at Union Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Hopewell High School and, before his health began to decline, was employed by Hill-Phoenix, Inc. He was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family.
Quinton was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh. He was the joker of the family and had a personality that could brighten any room. His laughter, humor, and the joy he brought to those around him will always be remembered.
Quinton enjoyed traveling, and Texas held a special place in his heart. He also found peace near the water and loved going to the beach, where he could relax, clear his mind, and enjoy the peacefulness of the moment.
He was an avid football fan and proudly supported the New York Giants. Quinton also enjoyed playing NBA 2K with his brother, Andre. Those times together created memories filled with laughter, conversation, and brotherhood that Andre will always cherish.
Family was very important to Quinton. He especially enjoyed cooking for his family during the holidays and bringing everyone together around good food. He also shared a special bond with his sister, Iesha. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and understanding, and their bond remained strong throughout the years.
Quinton was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, companion, cousin, and friend. He touched the lives of many people, and his memory will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved him.
Those Left to Cherish His Memory
Quinton leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother, Pauline Wyche; his father, Arthur Sligh; his stepfather, Robert Wyche; his grandmother, Clara Allen; his four children, Tony, Mercedes, Brooklyn, and Rain; and his grandchildren, Kamden and Kailani.
He also leaves his brother, Andre Allen (Shantele Allen); his sister, Iesha Tucker (Carlton Tucker); his nieces and nephews, D’Andre, Anaya, Ayrienna, Amaya, Caden, and Braxton; his aunts, Karen Allen, Jean Allen, and Tammy Figuera (Jose); his uncles, Tracie Allen and Leonard Allen (Penny); his companion, Jessica Barbour; his close friend, Pamela Tipton; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Quinton was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Allen, and his great-grandmother, Emma Jane Fells.
Quinton’s life was a gift to those who knew and loved him. His laughter, his love for his family, his sense of humor, and the memories he created will remain in their hearts forever. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will continue to live on through the people he loved and the lives he touched.
Rest peacefully, Fell. You were loved, you are deeply missed, and you will never be forgotten.
