On Monday, September 8, 2025, God in His infinite wisdom decided to call home one of His children, Ms. Phyliss J. Robinson.

Lane, as she was affectionately called, was born on June 14, 1948, to the late Julia Jefferson and Milton Owens and was raised in Petersburg, VA.  She lived a blessed life up until her death. She fought a good fight with minor health issues prior to her passing.

Ms. Robinson attended the Petersburg Public School System. She went on to work for McGuire Veterans Hospital where she retired after 30 years. Lane had such a loving and giving spirit and left an impact on all those who knew her. Although she always had a big smile, she had an even bigger heart. Lane was steadfast to show everyone she encountered love and kindness, she embodied Galatians 6:10, "So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

Ms. Robinson was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Robinson; brothers, James, John and Jerry Jefferson; and her sisters, Carnetta Carter and Pastor Jean Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Milton Robinson; devoted sister, Jeanette Eppes; nephews, Rodney, Jack, Jermaine, Robert and James; nieces, Hazel, Toye, Cynthia, Christina, Tamala and Tabitha. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of cousins, as well as other devoted family and friends.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2025, in the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Edward L. Fox III, eulogist and Chief Apostle Mary P. Bonner, officiant. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
