Penny D. Penley

Penny Penley was born on April 11, 1955 and departed this world on September 25, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Vermell Bender.

Penny will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Melody; her grandkids Xavier and Nigel; son-in-law, Pankaj; and her brother, Michael and his daughter Terrica; along with her nieces and nephews Chauntel, Jada and Elijah. Her family was a very important part of her life, and the memories they shared with her will be cherished forever.

Penny was creative and had a passion for arts and crafts, especially sewing and knitting, and found joy in creating with her hands. She "Loved the Beach" and visiting Florida. She was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force and dedicated 25 plus years to the Michael's Art and Crafts company.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory and the love she shared with those around her will remain in their hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 P.M., Friday, October 2, 2026, in the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
