Patricia A.
Lewis
Jul 19, 1958 — Dec 2, 2025
On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Heaven's Gate opened to receive yet another angel our beloved, Ms. Patricia Ann Lewis. She entered eternal rest at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia.
Patricia was born July 19, 1958, to Washinton Lewis and the late Cora Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Lane; niece, Tamara Stith; and grandparents, Josephine and Woodrow Wilson I and Martha and Warner Lewis.
Patricia was a long-time employee of the Fort Lee Lodging until her health declined. Patricia was known to many as "Momma Pat". Patricia was a DIE-HARD Washington Commanders (Washington Redskins) fan and really enjoyed watching them play.
Momma Pat loved her family and friends, she would adopt everyone as her own daughter, son, sister, brother, etc. She spent most of her time scrolling on Facebook and being the first to comment on everybody's post. If you posted, you were going through something or just a bad day you could surely count on a reply or inbox with words of encouragement from her. She loved watching WWE Smackdown, soap operas and the Game Show Channel. She loved a good get together with family and friends to laugh, joke and dance. Many people could count on that every morning like clockwork for a text/inbox saying, "Good Morning, I Love You".
Patricia leaves to cherish her memories: her three children, devoted daughter, Latres Walker (Thomas), Lakeisha Lewis and James Lewis (Sherron); five grandchildren, Deonte Jones, Jazmynne Kelley, Quaneisha Jones, Dwayne White, Jr., and Ivante Hill; a bonus granddaughter/bestie, Ashleigh Battle; six great grandchildren, Tra'Vion Canaday, Brooklyn Battle, Amirri Jones, Maziyon Pitts, Deara Jones, and Parish Cherry; father, Washington Lewis (Lois); three sisters, Valerie Lee (Ronnie), Diane Cherry (Roger) and Martha Woodley; nieces, Nicole Lee and Zhane Woodley; nephews, devoted Albert Fields, Wayne Lewis (Gena), Antwone Blackwell, Roosevelt Lee, Jr., Franklin Fields, Christopher Fields, Sr., Devonta Lewis, Michael Woodley, Jr., and Lonnie Lee; a host of aunts, devoted Sherrie Harris; uncles, great nieces, great nephews, cousins among them one devoted, Tierra Lewis; two god-daughters, Karen Wiggins and Latosha Cole; a very devoted caretaker, Tomeka Murphy-Benissan and numerous friends among them a few devoted, Gloria Jackson, Mary Berry, Polly Reid and Patricia Neal. Momma Pat had numerous bonus daughters among them devoted, Lee Giles, Shanika Jones, Temika Seymour, Tomeka Murphy-Benissan, Martina Jones, Latiesa Barrier, Wakenda Reid and Crystal Shands.
