On Friday, March 6, 2026, God in His infinite wisdom called home our beloved, Nathaniel Robert Ford of Richmond, Virginia, while in hospice care.  He was born on January 31, 1967, to the late Lloyd Ford, Sr. and Annie Ford in Richmond, Virginia. Nathaniel was also preceded in death by his sister and brother, Gale Ford and Reginald Ford.

Nathaniel attended George Wythe High School, Richmond, Virginia briefly, however he dropped out of high school to join the workforce.  Nathanel had a very successful career 30 years of service with American Paper & Chemical, Richmond, Virginia, as a truck driver. He retired in 2023, due to a decline in his health.  Nathaniel whole purpose in life was to provide for his family. He was the true definition of a hard-working man that provides for his own.

His most cherished moments were being a "Dad" to his two sons, Eric and Robert. He was equally proud to be a son, brother, and an uncle to his huge loving family. He valued family reunions, summer cookouts and holiday get-together. He was the life of the party, where he was known to spread humor and joy in every room he entered.  He left a mark on every person whom he encountered.

Nathaniel leaves memories of great times to his sons, Eric Early and Robert Early; two sisters, Michelle and Dorothy; four brothers, Roy, Michael, Lloyd Jr. and Henry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 21, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
