On Friday, August 21, 2026, God, in His infinite wisdom, called Matthew Mashand Moore into eternal rest. Matthew entered this life on September 19, 1985, and was the eldest of three children born to the late Glenda M. "Marcell" Edmonds.
Matthew received his education through the Chesterfield County Public School system. He later earned his Commercial Driver License (CDL) and was afforded the opportunity to travel throughout the East Coast.
During his childhood years, Matthew was a member of the Community Independent Methodist Church. He later joined the First Baptist Church McKenny, where he faithfully served as Minister of Music. Matthew was well known in the church community and used his God-given musical talent to play piano at various churches.
With a desire to deepen his knowledge and understanding of God's Word, Matthew pursued and earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from the Rowlins School of Divinity. One of his favorite scriptures was Romans 8:38 – 39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
Matthew was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Glenda M. "Marcell" Edmonds; his grandparents, Carolyn E. Moore, William H. Moore, Claiborne M. Mosby, Sr., and Nettie B. Mosby; his step-grandmother, Lorraine H. Henderson Moore; his aunt, Kathryn D. Moore; and his uncle, Claiborne M. Mosby, Jr.
Matthew leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Aungel Allen; his father, Don C. Mosby, Sr.; his sister, Mallori M. E. Mosby; and his brother, Don C. Mosby, Jr. (TiAisha).
He also leaves to cherish his memory his uncles, William Franklin Moore (Samantha), Bobby Brown (Sheretta), James Mosby (Sheila), and Paul Mosby; his great uncle, James T. Branch (Sheila); his aunts, Shelia Marie, Theresa Parker, Gloria Rice, Betty Rives (William), and Lisa Scott; his nieces and nephews, Jaalyn Fedderman, Trinity Fedderman, Don Mosby III, Adonis Mosby, Myliajah Parham, Malachi Mosby, Madison Mosby, and his devoted nieces Michaela Mosby and Mariyah Mosby.
Matthew's memory will also be treasured by a host of other relatives and friends, including his devoted friends, Dominique Rochelle and Latoya Thompson.
