Maria Elena Ramos, affectionately known as "Ree", 59, of Petersburg, VA, received her wings and went home to be with our heavenly father peacefully on May 24, 2025. She was born on February 25, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, to Betty Brocco and Sal Ramos.

Ree was a devoted mother, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her smile and energy would light up any room. She loved to dance and have a good time. She had a heart of gold and would do anything she could for the ones she loved.

Ree was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Brocco; father, Sal Ramos; brothers, Benny and Frank; and her sisters, Tony and Tina.

Ree leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted daughters, Tyeshia Ramos of Petersburg, VA and Angel Cook (Montrell) of Newport News, VA; sons, Montreal Wilkins of Waverly, VA and D. Shareef; grandchildren, Moncìono, Azareiah, Malik and Montreal Jr.; very close sister, Theresa Lane (Edward) of Petersburg, VA; sisters, Marianne and Patty both of Florida, Carrie, Kathy, Tcelia (TC), and Leslie (Alta); devoted friends, Debra and Sabrina; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 P.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Carey Renninger, eulogist.
