Malcolm Mark Graves, affectionately known as "Mack" departed this life on Monday, April 7, 2025, at HCA TriCity Hospital, Hopewell, Virginia.  He was born Monday, November 19, 1973, in Petersburg, Virginia to Muriel Letha Smith.

He attended the public schools of Prince George County and Hopewell City.  Malcom was employed at various businesses and nightclubs as a bouncer and security guard.

Malcolm joined and baptized at the United House of Prayer for All People in Hopewell, Virginia. Malcolm loved to play Chess and Spades, listen to Reggae music and smoking Black & Mild Cigars.  He also loved sweets and his Aunt Diane's homemade cornbread.

He was preceded by maternal grandparents, Apostle Richard and St. Mattie Hansley and his paternal grandparents, James and Gertrude Graves; aunts, Mary Williams, Eunice Graves, Gayle Young and a special aunt, Mary Flowers; two uncles, James Graves and John "Sunshine" Graves; and cousins, Kenneth Williams, Jesus Graves, and Anita Phillips.

Malcom leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Kayra Perry-Graves and Kavel Perry-Graves (mother of the children, Kaniki Perry), Jahmir Graves and Marquis Richberg; one granddaughter, Jai'lani Perry; mother, Muriel Letha Smith; sister, Tanya Smith; brother, Richard Hansley;  aunts, Sandra Diane Graves, Vickie Graves and Olga Patterson; uncles, Thomas Wilkins, Fred Patterson and Russell Graves; nieces, Christina, Iesha, Avianne and Tyneishaia; nephews, Kwáne and Marquise Smith; great nieces, Rahjae Smith-Judd, Zionna Graves, Nyla Smith-Taylor and Nova Smith; great nephews, Dakavion Gilliam, Ikell Smith and Marius Smith; a special cousin/like a brother, Felix Baugh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Elder A.P. Brown, Sr., eulogist.
