Letia Beard was born on May 18, 1950, in Petersburg, Virginia. She was the beloved daughter of Doris Jones Beard and Bill Beard. Letia was a loving sister to Evangeline Beard, a devoted mother to her son, Shawn Beard, and a proud grandmother to her grandchild, Queeshawn Beard.

Letia was known for her strong faith and her gentle, caring nature. She lived a life rooted in kindness and generosity, always willing to give of herself to help others. Her sweet spirit and warm heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Family was very important to Letia, and she treasured the time she spent with her loved ones. Her faith in God guided her life and provided her with strength, comfort, and peace.

Letia Beard will be fondly remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering faith, and the kindness she shared throughout her life. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery, 750 Page Street, Petersburg, VA.

There will be no public viewing for Letia R. Beard.
