Lance was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Hill; his sister, Roslyn Jarratt; and his cousins, Shalaby Hill and William Parham, Jr.

Woods, Jr. and Michael A. Woods; the mother of his only son, Markita Sams; his companion of 16 years, Katrina Barnes; and his cherished grandchildren, Mytrel Williams, Braylen Smithson, and Lei'lani Lopez Williams.
