Obituary

Kimberly Michelle McDougal, 60, of Hopewell, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 1, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Ms. Kim was born on February 5, 1966, in Hopewell Virginia, to William Washington and Rita Webster. She was raised by her devoted stepfather, Harold T. Webster, Sr.

Kim was a graduate of Hopewell High School. She worked numerous jobs and also did volunteer work. Kim was formerly a member at Union Baptist Church and she later transitioned to Higher Way Ministries.

Kimberly was loved and cherished by many. She was a generous and giving person, and was blessed with many talents, especially in the kitchen. She spent her life shaping young minds as a teacher. She found joy in music, particularly old-school R&B, and was a proud, devoted member of Radiant Temple #1200.

Kim had a way of making everyone feel like family. To many of us, she was a second mother.

Kimberly was preceded in death by stepfather, Harold T. Webster, Sr.; uncle, Jerome McDougal (aunt Valerie) and her nephew, Denzel Gholson.

Kim is survived by her children, Terrance McDougal (Chanetta) and Angel McDougal (Kevin); loving grandchildren, Alana Johnson, Terrance Jr., China and Kenya McDougal; goddaughter, LaQuayle Agurs (Blake); bonus son, Doral Jones (Ashleigh); cherished siblings who will forever hold their memory close, Kenneth McDougal, Kevin McDougal (Tabitha), Stephanie Webster, Alvin Jones (Ramona), Harold Webster, Jr., Antoine Webster, Dwayne Webster (Nicole), Monek Washington, Pam White, William White and Nicole Jones; devoted friends, Terri and Monica; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Special thanks to the Staff of Interim Health Care and Affinity Care Hospice, especially Candace and Jackie.
