José A. Rivera of Hopewell, VA, departed this life on February 2, 2026, at his residence. Jose had a rare Heart of Gold. Every one that met him and knew him Loved him. He could never says or hurt anyone. He gave a lot of himself to many.

He loved his nephews and nieces and great nephews. If you knew him you know that comic books, cars and his coin collection was his thing. If he could do something to help he would not say, No.

Joe was military through and through. I will also remember his words to all Joe God bless and may you be at peace for ever.  We love you and we will MISS YOU! In his words, I can hear him say, "Okie Dokie"

There will be no viewing for Mr. Rivera  and services will be held in Puerto Rico.
