John J. Rivers, Jr.

John J. Rivers, Jr., 68, passed away on September 7, 2026, peacefully at home after a long illness.

Everyone who knew him knew that his family meant the world to him. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, making jokes, spending time with his dog Stella and traveling with his wife. He was immensely proud of his son and his grandchildren. His favorite thing that he did was having a hot dog cart and seeing the smiles he brought to everyone, especially the kids running up yelling, “Hot Dog Man!!” John will be sorely missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Rivers, Sr.; mother, Gloria Macchi Rivers; and his brother-in-law, Steve Janelle.

John is survived by his wife of 19 years, Theresa Rivers; son, Raymond Rivers; children, Kailyn, Penelope, Amiah and RJ; stepson, CJ Bickle; stepdaughter, Christina Frausto, her husband, Richard and their children, Laila and Tommy; sisters, Karen Janelle and Pam Lamontagne (Donnie); and several nieces and nephews.

Close family and friends will be received Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the family home.
