Mr. John K. Ellis passed away on February 7, 2026, surrounded by his family members. Mr. Ellis was affectionately known to everyone as "John-John".

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ellis; sister, Karleen Ellis; brother, Anthony Ells; nephew, Gari Ellis; and his uncle, Joseph Ellis.

Mr. Ellis worked several jobs until his health declined, and he had to receive treatment at DaVita Dialysis. He will always be remembered for always washing cars. He was a very loving and caring person who will truly be missed by all.

John leaves to cherish his loving memories with his two daughters, Tyesha Ramos and Angel Ramos; two grandchildren, Azariah and Moncino; two nieces, Sharon Saunders (Javaugh) and Terri Phelphs (Kent) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; and devoted friends too numerous to name especially the entire 36 Crew.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Tyrone Jackson, eulogist.
