On July 1, 2025, at 2:15 P.M., our Heavenly father called home his beloved son, Mr. Jerome A. Jones with open arms at the age of 67 at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. He was born on February 24, 1958, in Prince George County to the late Florence Jones and Samuel Jones.

Jerome, affectionately known as "Bone, Road Dog and Pappy", was employed with Hopewell Public Schools and was a member of Union Baptist Church Davisville. At an early age he was baptized at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Prince George, VA.

Jerome was a devoted Washington Commanders (Redskins) fan. He loved his two brothers June and More dearly and they shared a special bond. Jerome loved to go hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time visiting his family and friends.

Along with his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his stepmother, Cora Lee Jones; grandparents, Rev. Sidney and Catherine H. Jones; two aunts, six uncles; and two nephews.

Jerome leaves to cherish his memory: two brothers, Samuel Jones, Jr. (Donna) and Moses Jones (Denise) both of Hopewell, VA; two sisters, Kimberly Harris (Dre) and Joyce Clark both of Hopewell, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Union Baptist Church, 212 Rev. C. W. Harris Street, Hopewell, VA, the Rev. Leroy Mashore, Pastor, the Rev. Chameka Wannamaker, eulogist. The interment to follow at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.
