Jennifer W. Fitzgerald, 71, of Petersburg, Virginia, was born in Richmond, Virginia, on November 5, 1954. She passed at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, on November 27, 2025.  Jennifer attended and graduated from St. Catherine's School, Richmond, Virginia.   She received her degree from Syracuse University, New York.

She was a Christian raised in the Episcopal Church and later years Jennifer attended Non-Denominational Church Hope Fellowship, West End Assembly of God, Bethel Church, Agape Ministries and New Life.

Jennifer was employed at the Richmond Times Dispatch as a writer, Henrico County Public Schools Transportation Department as a bus driver, Chiropractic Manager and Juice Plus Partner.

She was born to Marcellus E. Wright, Jr. and Joyce P. Wright, to this union they had four girls, Jennifer was the youngest: her siblings, Westley, Pam and Lisa. Jennifer married Robert W. Fitzgerald, Jr., to his union they had four children together, Heather, Hannah, Chistina and Jonathan Fitzgerald (the youngest); grandchildren, Chase Fitzgerald, Layla Fitzgerald, Savannah Castro and Owen Castro; mother-in-law, Elsie K. Fitzgerald and father-in-law, Robert W. Fitzgerald; family friends Roger & Dianne Hershberger and Family, Elizabeth, Byron and Diana Vaughan.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
