Jason A.
Fenton
Mar 31, 1979 — Jun 23, 2026
Jason Allen Fenton departed this life unexpectedly on the morning of June 23, 2026, at his residence in Chesterfield, Virginia. He was 47 years old.
Born on March 31, 1979, in Petersburg, Virginia, Jason was the son of Armond R. Johnson and Barbara A. Johnson. He was a graduate of Lloyd C. Bird High School. Jason was a cherished brother, uncle, family member, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many.
Jason was known for his kind heart and the biggest hugs, his outspoken honesty, his wonderful sense of humor, and his love of music. He loved dancing to old-school hip-hop and singing his favorite R&B songs. He enjoyed his mama's cooking and treasured the time he spent fishing and watching sports with his dad.
You could always count on Jason to talk about what he planned to be for Halloween each year and to proudly share his love for the Dallas Cowboys. One thing everyone knew about Jason was that he loved to talk. Those conversations, stories, and laughter are moments we will cherish forever.
As his sisters and nephews, we will forever treasure the memories of celebrating birthdays, holidays, and life's many special occasions together. Those moments of laughter, love, and togetherness will remain among our most cherished memories.
Though we are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in God's promise that those who trust in Him will have everlasting life. Jason's kindness, laughter, and unforgettable personality left an imprint on everyone blessed to know him. We will miss his warm hugs, endless conversations, and joyful spirit, but we are grateful for the memories we shared and trust that God has welcomed him into His eternal peace. Jason will remain forever in our hearts, deeply loved, greatly missed, and never forgotten.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents, Armond R. Johnson and Barbara Ann Johnson; his sisters, Tonya Doughan, Lakisha Atkinson (Jahmal), and Claudale Johnson; his brother, Eumeyers Johnson; his nephews, Devin R. Johnson, Omari R. Johnson, Xavier J. Atkinson, and Maurice Robinson, Jr.; aunts, Susan Bannister (Gilbert) and Janice Cleveland; uncles, Benjamin Curtis, Roy Hargrave and Gray Hargrave; and a host of devoted extended family members, and friends.
