Jarrod Lamont Hill, Sr., age 45, was born on December 19, 1980, at John Randolph Hospital in Hopewell, Virginia, to Hazel Hill and Floyd Hill. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Hill; grandparents, James Woodley, Josephine Parham, Norman Parham, Nathaniel Hill and Jane Hill; aunts and uncles, Evelyn Hill, Ella Adkins, William Hill, Sr., Nathaniel Hill, Jr., Joseph Woodley, Robin Parham, James Brown and Melvena Hill; devoted cousin, Norma Jenkins; father-in-law, Clarence Davis, Jr.; and his grandparents-in-law, John Hill and Mary Hill.

Jarrod leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Porsha Hill. They shared a lasting bond. He was a loving father to his children: LaQuasia Cooper, Najionna Coleman, Nasir Cooper, Diamond Hill, Jarrod Hill, Jr., Raekwon Davis, Markiest Davis, and Armora Ward. He was a proud and caring grandfather to Ryleigh, Aubrey, Tariq Jr., August, Kaiden, NoVarri, and King, each of whom brought him immense joy.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Hazel Hill; his sister, Takiyah Shands (Rickey); sister-in-law, Letonya Hill; and his brother-in-law, Jerone Hill (Letia). Jarrod was a cherished uncle to his nieces, Krashayla, Ashley, Emonee, JaKiyah and Champagne; great nieces, YaRiyah and Yomii; nephews, JaCarri, DeShawn, Jahlil, Jaylen, Jacarri and Stevie; and his great nephews, TraQuan, Travis Jr. and TraVaris.

Jarrod also leaves to mourn a large and loving family of aunts and uncles: Gloria Shaw (Roger), Ruth Randolph, Mabel Hill (devoted), Pilot Parham (Victoria), Norman Parham, Rev. Dr. Jerry Parham (Loretta), Edith Woodley, Annie Parham, Jane Brown, Joseph Hill, and Donald Hill (Ann); along with a host of great uncles and aunts, cousins, devoted  and dear friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 30, 2026, at Union Baptist Church, 5962 Laurel Springs Road, Spring Grove, VA, the Rev. Leroy D. Evans, Jr., Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Jerry Parham, eulogist. The interment to follow in the church cemetery.

A wake will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the funeral establishment.
