Janet Basile Beaudet, born on December 3, 1942, in Washington, DC, passed away on her 65th wedding anniversary, August 20, 2025, in Hopewell, VA. She was raised in Hopewell, VA, and was a long-time resident of Prince George, VA. Janet was married to Richard "Dick" Beaudet on August 20, 1960, who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of Anthony "Tony" Basile and her adored stepmother, Millie Basile, both of whom preceded her in death. Janet was raised by her grandparents, Pasquale and Maria Basile, who also preceded her in death.

Janet is survived by her sister, Linda Basile Harris, and her husband, Bill Harris. Janet's sons are Joe Beaudet (wife Debra), Tom Beaudet (wife Debbie), Mike Beaudet (wife Beth), and Rick Beaudet (wife Mona). She was a loving grandmother to Nick Beaudet (Lisa), Kristine Beaudet (Lindsay), Allison Heidorn Pate (Joey), Karena Beaudet (Plato), Alec Beaudet, Austin Beaudet, Matthew Beaudet, Laura Beaudet, Christopher Beaudet, Jessica Beaudet, and Katie Beaudet. Janet was also a great-grandmother to Mackenzie Beaudet, Jaxon Pate, and Addie Pate and was an aunt to BJ Harris (wife Aja, children Rhett and Ruby) and Rebekah Harris Simunek (Chris).

A lifelong member of Sacred Heart and St. James Catholic churches, Janet loved her career as a travel agent. She found joy in feeding people homemade pizza, spaghetti, and other Italian foods.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Carla Hall, her long-time caregiver.

Services will be held  2:00 P.M., Monday, August 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9300 Community Lane, Petersburg, VA. The interment in the church cemetery. A reception will be held at the church following the interment.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9300 Community Lane, Petersburg, VA.
