"I suppressed the pains of longing, but they spoke,
My eyes revealed them, and my heart expressed them with my tears."

"Everyone hears the sounds of our longing in farewells,
But the truest of them is the one left unheard."

"I begged my eyes to hold back their tears,
On the day of farewell, I pleaded, 'Do not weep.'"

"I closed them so they wouldn't overflow, but they rained,
And I realized I do not control my tears."

"I dreamt that I was bidding them farewell,
And I wept from the pain of longing while they were still with me."

"It is bitter enough for me to bid farewell to a visitor,
So how could I part with those I carry within my ribs?!"
