Obituary

Mr. James Allen Jefferson entered into rest on Friday, 27 March 2026. James Allen Jefferson graduated from Peabody High School and worked at Continental Can Company, Continental Group, Stone Container Corp, Rock-Tenn, and Westrock for over 40 years.

James Allen Jefferson, a man who lived life on his on terms, with a fishing line in the water and a good conversation on the airwaves. He lived a full and rich life, leaving behind a legacy measured not in years, but in laughter, love, and the memories he created with those closest to him.

Those who knew James knew that his happiest moments were spent out on the water. Whether the fish were biting or not, it hardly matter, it was the peace of the open water, the fresh air, and the quiet joy of the outdoors that called him back time and again. His boat was his sanctuary.

Off the water, James had another great passion, his CB radio. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, and he never met a stranger for long. His voice carried warmth, humor, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from a life well lived.
