On Sunday, November 30, 2025, our beloved Ms. Jacqueline "Jackie" Bouvior Tyler, affectionately known as "Cookie," age 61, was called home to be with the Lord at Riverview on the Appomattox Nursing Home in Hopewell, VA. She was born on November 19, 1964, in Hopewell, VA, to the late Myrtle Tyler-Brooks and Herbert Tyler. Jackie graduated from Prince George County Public Schools, Class of 1983. She continued her education at John Tyler Community College and J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College in pursuit of her Business Management degree.

Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Higher Way Ministries in Petersburg, VA. She was previously employed with Safety-Kleen and H&R Block. Before her illness progressed, Jackie enjoyed thrifting, watching her old-school shows, spending time with her grandchildren, and working for her niece at Dearing Gifts From The Heart.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle and Herbert Tyler; step-father, David Brooks; brother, Herbert Tyler, Jr.; sister, Margaret Tyler; grandparents, Jake and Lizzie Clarke-Tyler and Ida Smith; nieces, Jessica Morse-Coley, Toni D. Newby, and Peggy Tyler; nephews, William Jr., Lonnie Allen, and Lorenzo Allen; aunts, Frances Johnson, Delia Allen, Louise Allen, Lucy Mae Tyler, Dorothy Coles, Cora Allen, and Minnie Allen; uncles, Sidney Tyler, John Tyler, Hon Tyler, John Allen, and William Cole; devoted friend, Allison Bundy; and her devoted friend and father of her child, Dennis Walker.

Jackie leaves to cherish her precious memories: three children, Jacqueline "Cuk" Jones of Prince George, Jamie "Lou Lou" Gilchrist, and Jasmine "Jae" Tyler both of Ettrick, VA; two children whom she lovingly claimed as her own, Tahquisha Briggs and Gorden Hylton III; six grandchildren, Skye Jones, Jacorey Saunders, T'Andrew Gilliam, Marqwion Williams, Tahjaye Gilliam, and Yosiah Jones; three devoted men she lovingly called her sons, Bernard "Tyga" Williams, Timothy "Relli" Gilliam, and Rejohn Jones; sisters, Ida Byrd and Myrtle Jones of Dendron, VA, Hannah Pettaway (Daniel) of Hopewell, VA, and Edwina Knight (Robert) of Prince George, VA; brothers, Linwood Tyler (Shirley) of Hopewell, VA, and Donald Tyler of Prince George, VA; aunt, Mamie Tyler; uncle, Jacob Tyler; sister-in-law, Pearl Tyler; 18 nieces; 11 nephews; devoted friends, Vanessa Crockett and Teresa Williams; devoted niece, Arlethia "Lisa" Dearing, whom she worked with prior to the decline of her health; devoted cousins, Minnie "Pony" Harris and Annette "Pearl" Walker; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Higher Way Ministries, 515 Virginia Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Bishop Darren L. Gay, Sr., Pastor.  Interment to follow in the Mount Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

A wake will be held from 5:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M., Friday, December 5, 2025, at the funeral establishment.
