Holloway Benjamin Crawford, affectionately known as "Bumpy", was born on July 7, 1952, to the late Holloway and Dorothy Crawford. He departed this earth on September 24, 2025. He was raised in Disputanta, Virginia, and attended Prince George High School.

Throughout his life, Holloway worked in many trades including trucking, construction, and general labor. He was a man of many talents: skilled as a carpenter, painter, and repairman, and was well-known throughout Petersburg and the surrounding communities.

Holloway had a strong personality and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved sports football and basketball and shooting pool. He also enjoyed cutting grass, and indulging in neighborhood activities. He was a person that would drop what he was doing to help the people he loved and cared for.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde Crawford; and his sisters, Voncia Holden and Tiny Crawford.

Holloway leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 44 years, Carolyn Crawford; his beloved four-legged companion, Lady; three brothers, Bernard Crawford and Tyrone Crawford both of Petersburg, VA and Anthony Crawford (Rita) of Hopewell, VA; one sister, Isabelle Crawford of Prince George, VA; two brothers-in-law, John Raines (Earlene) of Easton, PA and Rodney Raines of Petersburg, VA; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jones (Roy) of Hopewell, VA, and Sandra Reid (Robert) of Petersburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will continue to honor his legacy.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 11, 2025, at  Edgehill Church of Christ, 25609 Grant Avenue, North Dinwiddie, VA.
