Harvey Lee Hill, 72, unexpectedly passed on December 18, 2025, at Williamsburg Post Acute & Rehabilitation Center in Williamsburg, VA. Harvey was born on February 10, 1953, to Irene Branch-Hill and Lewis (Love) Hill in Wakefield, Virginia. He was affectionately known as "Harvey Lee," "Jughead" Ching-Cong, and H.H. by family and friends.

Harvey as was his namesake, Harvey Boykins, is the youngest of four siblings. Harvey was predeceased by an older sister and brother, Betty Ann Walters, and George Ozell (Jimmy) Branch, respectively. Irene and family moved from Wakefield to Petersburg, Virginia, where Harvey attended and graduated from Petersburg High School.

Harvey Lee joined the United States Army to serve his country. Upon being discharged from the Army he diligently worked at plants, factories, and warehouses in Petersburg and became a roofer with Walter D. Witt Roofing Company. When Harvey became disabled, he spent the final years of life at Williamsburg Post Acute & Rehabilitation Center. His charisma, smile and magnanimity won the hearts of many staff members and residents of the facility.

While there Harvey was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Commanders, whom he watched on television religiously. At Williamsburg Post Acute, he also attended worship services. One day, only God knows the exact date, Harvey had an encounter. He was "born-again" and entered a relationship with Jesus Christ, whom he'd speak of often and had staff members mention when they texted messages for him. On any given day he would ask for prayer and enjoyed hearing a good praise song. Harvey loved much and hearing the name of Jesus. Harvey Lee was cherished and loved by family members and loving friends.

Harvey Lee was married twice, his first wife, Rosa Hill (affectionately known as "Hook") and to Kathy Moody-Hill (whom he was preceded by death). Harvey Lee is survived by six beautiful children; Melissa "Missy" Brown (Damon), Monica "Pecan" Hill, Arvey Hill, Harvey "Huck" Hill, Latonya Banks (Fontella), and Samika Moody-Hill; one brother, The Reverend Johnie Branch. Harvey Lee also leaves a legacy of beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins (special cousin, Linda Lyons).

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Johnie Branch, eulogist and Rev. Bobby Ricks, officiant. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
