Gwendolyn Angela Lewis, 58, was born December 23, 1967, to the late David H. and Gladys E. Hill in Petersburg, Virginia. She departed life peacefully on March 23, 2026, at The Hock Family Pavilion, Durham, North Carolina.

She was a graduate of Petersburg High School, Class of 1986.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, David H. Hill and Gladys E. Hill; brother, Carl Hill; niece, Roslyn Jarratt and nephew, Shalaby Hill.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memories: three very devoted sons, Michael, Tiquale and Terik Lewis; one devoted brother, Ronald D. Hill; five devoted sisters, Kathy Parham (Wayne), Martha Williams (Leon), and Laureatha Parham (Windell) all of Petersburg, Virginia, Diane Moore of Asheville, North Carolina, and Sandra Hill of Durham, North Carolina; several devoted friends, Prince Amir, Ashton Miller, Mozelle Harris and Dernita Davis; very devoted best friend, Fatima Smith; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to name.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Apostle Dr. Tina L. Talley, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
