Glenn R.
Harris
Jul 24, 1956 — Aug 18, 2026
Glenn Randolph Harris, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, master carpenter, and classic car enthusiast, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from congestive heart failure.
Born July 24, 1956, Glenn was the son of the late Robert Harris and Cora Teen Hunt-Harris. He was baptized at Lebanon Baptist Church in Disputanta, Virginia, and educated in Prince George County Public Schools.
Gifted with his hands, Glenn became a skilled and sought-after carpenter. For decades, he built, remodeled, and repaired homes, leaving behind the lasting evidence of his craftsmanship and a reputation for hard work. He later joined Chaney Enterprises (formerly GreenRock Materials).
One of Glenn's greatest joys was classic cars, especially his beloved 1964 Chevrolet El Camino. His passion extended far beyond the automobile itself. As founder and President of the Street Dreams Cruisers Car Club, Glenn created a community centered on friendship, fellowship, and a shared appreciation for classic cars.
Above all, Glenn treasured his family. For 30 years, he shared his life with his devoted wife, Minnie Pope Harris, building a life filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cora Harris; sisters, Adline D. Jones and Rose Harris Walker; and his brothers, Philip Harris, Matthew Harris, Sr., and Elgin Taylor, Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Minnie Pope Harris; daughters, Shenita Ellis-Williams (Matthew) of Lynchburg, VA, and Glenitria Irvin of Richmond, VA; stepdaughters, Samantha Pope Meade (Todd) of Charlotte, NC, Karoline D. Wilson (Leland) of Cleveland, OH, and the Honorable Kimberly Pope Adams of Dinwiddie, VA.
His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Indira, Alyssa, JaNae, Brittany, Allan, Chris, and Josh; four great-grandsons; sisters, Carolyn Blanding (Hampton) and Joan Smith, both of Hopewell, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and cherished friends.
Glenn shared special bonds of friendship with Otis Tyler, Donald Lee, and Tyrone Flowers. He also leaves behind his faithful 16-year-old Maltese, "Angel," a beloved companion and treasured member of the family.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at ACG Hospice for the kindness, dignity, comfort, and exceptional care shown to Glenn and his family during his final journey.
Glenn will be remembered through the homes he built, the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, and the classic cars that brought him such joy. His hands created things made to last, and so did his heart. The love, lessons, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will remain with those fortunate enough to have known him.
Glenn's earthly work is complete, but what he built in the hearts and lives of those who loved him will endure.
Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Morning Star Baptist Church, 19121 Brandon Road, Spring Grove, VA, the Rev. Dr. Robert L. Elliott, Jr., Pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
