Gerald Faye
Prosise
Oct 13, 1961 — Nov 4, 2025
Ms. Gerald Faye Prosise was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was born October 13, 1961, in Sussex County, Virginia, to the late James Leonard Prosise and Dorothy Jones Rose.
Gerald was a woman of grace, beauty and generosity whose presence lit up every room she entered. She had a gift for style always dressed with elegance and flair, never missing a detail. Her love for doing hair was more than just a talent, it was her way of making others feel beautiful, confident and cared for. But beyond her outward beauty and creative touch, Gerald had a heart full of kindness. She dedicated her life to caring for others, family, friends and anyone in need of a helping hand or a comforting word. Her compassion knew no limits, and her warmth left a lasting imprint on everyone blessed to know her.
She will be remembered not only for her sense of style and skill but for the love she poured into others, her laughter and the joy she brought into so many lives. Gerald also loved to dance. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and cared for so deeply.
Gerald was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Brenda Mabry and Jerry Prosise.
Gerald leaves to cherish her memory to her two devoted daughters, Catina Prosise and Tynesha Prosise Jones (Quinton); seven grandchildren, Cadarius Prosise, Keshawna Harris, Dy'Shan Harris, Marhyia Massenburg, Cameron Massenburg, King Lawrence and A'Miracle Lawrence; great grandchild, Amhir Prosise; four sisters, Gail Robinson (Dean), Vonda Thweatt (Kenneth), Janet Rose and Jean Rose; two brothers, Mike Mabry and Larry Mabry; three aunts, Doreatha Atkins, Dorothy Crowder and Mable Parham; devoted uncle, Carl Jones; great aunt, Barbara Phillips; devoted cousins, Arlene Hylton, Patricia Prosise, James "JRoc" Prosise and Deborah Coleman; devoted friends, Janice Gray, Karen Jefferson, Terry Seaborn, Bernice Claiborne and Renee Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
