On Thursday, July 17, 2025, our hearts were saddened by the loss of our loved one, George Washington, affectionately known as "Ronnie" to all, who entered eternal rest at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was born on August 24, 1958, to Mr. James Washington and Mrs. Bertha Washington. A native of Prince George County, Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age when he was baptized at Powells Creek Baptist Church, Prince George, VA. He was a graduate of Prince George County High School, Class of 1976.

George was preceded in death by his parents, James N. and Bertha E. Washington; and his brothers, James "Ricky" Washington and James S. Blanding.

George held several roles throughout his life and later became an employee of Prince George County Schools, where he retired after nearly fifteen years of service. George was an avid supporter of his beloved football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories: three brothers, Michael Washington (Leslie) of Hopewell, VA,  Joel Washington (Carl) of Conyers, GA and Terry Blanding (Mary) of Prince George, VA; one sister, Sara King (Willie) of Chester, VA; one aunt, Annie Allen of Hopewell, VA; one uncle, James "Junie" Mason (Faye) of Prince George, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends among them, devoted friend, Dolly Mae Wooden of Hopewell, VA.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Chapel of the J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Marvin Johnson, eulogist, the Rev. Rudolph Jones, officiant. The interment to follow at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.

The family will be receiving guest at 11400 Old Stage Road, Prince George, VA 23875.
