Mr. Gary Osborne Jones was born September 26, 1950, to the late Martha Jones Brown, was the first of seven children on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, God Called him home to eternal rest at his residence surrounded by his loved one's.

Gary was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Thopson Jones; his mother, Martha and stepdad, Vernon Brown; his in-laws, Thelma and Henry Thompson; his sister, Patricia Ann, Ann, Donna Faye, and Anita Renee Brown.

Gary was a native of Chesterfield County, VA, but lived most of his life in Baltimore, Maryland.  He accepted Christ and was baptize at an early age. Gary was a mama boy and found joy in doing and caring for her. He also loved his family especially his aunties one in particular, Pearl "Sharty Pearl", he called her.

Gary was employed at the House of Pine for 5 years, he worked at BGE Gas Company (who later changed their name to Talen) for 20 plus years. He enjoyed working until his health declined.  Gary was loved by his coworkers, especially his supervisor Lee and his friend Mike and his wife, they had a special bond. Gary was affectionately known as "Chopps" who will be deeply missed.

Gary leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: a son, Gary R. Jones; a daughter, Sabrina Harris; a devoted sister, Joyace Harris (Steward); two brothers, devoted, Vernon Brown, Jr. (Lisa) and Andre Brown, devoted caregiver sister, Maggie Green; three grandchildren, Ariel and Joel Harris, and Mason Roberts; nieces, Shena Winstead (Christopher), devoted Anetrea Harris, Shameka Cox, devoted Shaiyah Wardle (Jacob), Arian Lane (Elijah), and D'Ajha; nephews, Vernon Brown III, devoted Myron Brown, Andre Brown, Jr., Dominque Brown, Cornelius Howen, Justine Cox, Demetrius Brown and Jamel Johnson; a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, close cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 15, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. The interment to follow at The Jones Family Cemetery.
