Franklin Ray Farrish, 76, of Chester, Virgina, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Frank was born on June 23, 1949, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late William Everett and Virginia Catherine Farrish. Also preceding him in death were his sister, Virginia; brother, William; and special niece, Julia.

Frank had a heart for Jesus and for missions. He loved sharing stories and memories of his mission trips with friends and family to the Dominican Republic and Mexico and of his many years working in the food pantry. Many, many crisis care kits were created under Frank's watch and care during his years as NMI Director.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Rose; stepchildren, Donna and Michael Troyer (Dee); grandsons, Sean Woodson and Noah Troyer; brother, Ed Farrish (Bonnie); and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Southside Church Compassionate Ministry Center (Chester Campus), 13930 Happy Hill Road, Chester, VA, Pastor Sherrill Michael, officiating.

To honor Frank, non-perishable food items or monetary donations to the Southside Church Compassionate Ministry Center will be received at the service.
