Edith R.
Johnson Wyatt
Jan 25, 1941 — Jul 3, 2026
Edith Rebecca "Johnson" Wyatt, affectionately known as "Eddie Boo and Sweetie," of Charles City, Virginia, left us unexpectedly on the evening of Friday, July 3, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1941, to the late Susie Anna Adkins Johnson and Rufus Johnson.
Edith received her education from the Charles City Public School System. She was truly one of a kind and gifted with her hands. She was our personal chef, therapist and seamstress. Edith knew all the right things to say and do; she healed all our wounds seen and unseen. A blessing to any and everyone she came across. Her personality and humor were like none other, "Top Tier Baby!"
Edith worked proudly and retired from M&B Headwear after 26 years of dedicated hard work! She later became the fashionista of the Wyatt Family! Edith loved-loved shopping, scratch tickets, food, flowers, jigsaw puzzles and most importantly she cherished every second with family!
She was the sweetest soul ever, "but you betta' not get on her bad side…'cause you would know it," however she loved who loved her just as much. A soul that will be remembered forever and always!
Edith spent so much time loving all her grandchildren; she knew everyone's birthday. She spent all her time playing card games and watching all the newest television shows, especially Wheel of Fortune, her absolute favorite.
She was preceded in death by her late husband Raymond A. E. Wyatt; three sons, Raymond L. Wyatt, Darrell O. Wyatt and Kevin D. Wyatt; grandson, Tramayne Wyatt; three brothers, Robert, Ernest, and Lynwood Johnson; and her sister, Clarice Madison.
Edith leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Myra Nelson; son, Randy Wyatt (Connie); devoted daughter-in-law, Pamela Wyatt; three sisters, Ann Johnson, Hattie Ball, and Margaret Holmes; two brothers-in-law, James and Preston Wyatt; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Mason, Evelyn Chavis and Carol Alcaire; devoted god-daughter, Sharon Turner; devoted nieces, Donna "DJ" Gaines and Kimberly "Kim Kooly" Webster; and a host of devoted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
