Obituary

Diane E. Burnham, 78, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, passed away on May 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born on July 14, 1947. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Douglas M. Burnham, for 58 years until his passing in 2022. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with Doug, the love of her life, in heaven.

Diane devoted her life to her family, providing her children with steady support, unconditional love, and encouragement in their pursuits. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Her joy came from being there for her loved ones, whether cheering from the sidelines, celebrating milestones, or making sure her family always felt supported.

Diane had a passion for playing softball, and she brought the same energy, competitiveness, and team spirit to all her children's sports. Whether at a game, practice, or family gathering, she exuded warmth, loyalty, and deep love for those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas M. Burnham. Her children survive her: Kerry Burnham and wife Cheryl, Wendy Hundley-Burnham, and Ronnie Burnham; her grandchildren: Stephanie Willis and husband Patrick, Justin Hundley and wife Jaimie, Ryan Hundley, Madison Hundley, and Bradley Burnham; her precious great-grandchildren; and many family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Diane's love, strength, and devotion will live on through her family and everyone blessed to have known her.

Services will be announced by the family at a later date.
