Dennis M.
Williams
Oct 10, 1972 — Aug 12, 2025
Dennis Williams, affectionately known as "Minute Man", was born on October 10, 1972, in Hopewell, Virginia, where he was also raised. He passed away on August 12, 2025.
Dennis was an unforgettable character – the kind of man people remembered. He could be charming and well-liked, though not without his flaws. He lived life on his own terms, for better or worse, and left a lasting mark on everyone he met.
He found joy in working on cars, painting, and creating ways to make a living. Dennis had a determined spirit – when he set his mind on something, he made sure it happened. He also enjoyed the simpler pleasures of life, like riding his zero-turn lawnmower, going fishing, and watching his favorite classic Western shows.
Though life was imperfect, it was uniquely his. Those who knew him will carry their own memories – good, challenging, and everything in between.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Charles and Martha Williams.
He is survived by his children: daughter, Tionna Massenburg of Prince George, VA; sons, Tyquan Williams of Prince George, VA, Jahlil Pope of Hopewell, VA, Dejuan Knight (Andrea) of Petersburg, VA and Kejuan Knight (Daisha Jackson) of Petersburg, VA; sibling, Michael Williams of Hopewell, VA; aunt, Denise Williams of Hopewell, VA; uncle, Larry Williams of Hopewell, VA; three grandchildren; his best dog friend, Blue; his forever roommates, Wilnette Massenburg of Stony Creek, VA, Carolina Massenburg of Stony Creek, VA and Lee Lane of Hopewell, VA; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
