Deloris Moore "LaLa" Beasley

Deloris Charlotte Moore Beasley, affectionately known as “LaLa”, was born on December 1, 1961, to the late Claiborne Prince Moore, Sr. and Charlotte Deloris Moore in Petersburg, VA. She departed this life on September 11, 2026.

Deloris received her education from the Petersburg Public School System, graduating from Petersburg High School, Class of 1980. Upon graduating, Deloris was her father’s business management secretary of C.P. Moore, Sr. Brick Masonry Company.

Later on, Deloris attended John Tyker Community College and graduated with a business administration degree. Thereafter, she went on to become a CNA, caring for many people in her community. Her last place of employment was the Sage House where she cared for her clients deeply.

Deloris really loved being her family’s personal nurse. She was also the best babysitter anyone could want or have. She also loved cooking, baking, and simply loved to have a good time.

In her early years, Deloris joined Good Shepherd Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Thomas. She loved God with all her might. She would always pray and be thankful for whatever God would do for her, her family and friends.

Along with her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her grandparents, Prince and Lottie Moore and Willie and Ethel Williams; brothers, Marvin Moore, Johnie Moore and Charles Williams; and her nephew, Prince Moore, Jr.

Deloris leaves to cherish her memories: her caring and devoted husband, William Henry Beasley; two loving and devoted sisters, Vivion Ann Lovett and Princess Ann Samuel Williams; her brothers, William H. Moore, Prince Moore, Sr. (Iris), Bearnard R. Williams, Milton A. Williams (Diann), Baron M. Moore, Anthony Moore (Deloris), Claiborn P. Moore, Jr., and Edward Moore (Carolyn); cousins who were like her sisters, Roslyn Jeffers (Donte), Pamela Jackson (Derrick) and Cynthia Fields (Timothy); her devoted nieces and nephews she helped raise and treated like her own, Marvin M. - devoted, Angelo T., Marlo M. (Nabranna), Messari M., Dante L., Duwan L., Yvonne (Jeffrey), Andreia L., Tonya Y. (Floyd), Prince Jr., Anna T. (Chante), Tiffany M., Monty P., William P., Brandy M., Michael M., Jan M., Janita, Jerome, Johnnie M. (Marcy), Sydell M., Marvin M., Crystal, Shaneka P. (Adrian), Taresa B. (Derrick), Meaco (Jolley) - devoted, Vondatl, Bernard Jr., Clifton, and Juan B. (Kassie); in-laws, Rossy Beasley (Williana), James Beasley (Linda), Sarah Tucker (Thomas), Mary Wynn (Broadus), Eva Parham (Stanley), Faye Pride and Janette Jones; devoted cousins to include her 757 family and the Hamptons; devoted friends, Michael White, Jackie Zimmit, Sonya Archer, Rita Walker, Charlean Walker and Dora Draper who was a dear friend and coworker; and a host of cousins, other relatives, her 5th Ward and Stainback Street family and friends.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Gravel Run Baptist Church, 12512 Duncan Road, Dinwiddie, VA, the Rev. Dr. Larry D. Brown, Sr., Pastor. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
