Delores Diane Deans, 68, of Stony Creek, Virginia, affectionately known as "Diane", departed this life on December 9, 2025, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia.

She was born on May 24, 1957, in Mount Olive, North Carolina to the late Marion R. Stelly (Gary) and George G. Herring.  Diane attended Huguenot High School.  She did not a specific church however she was a Mormon.

Diane was employed at AJD Hat Factory as a seamstress, Capital One, HCA at The Boulders, and most recently at Stony Creek Pharmacy. She also was a personal caregiver.

She was married to Robert E. Deans, Sr., who passed on October 18, 2015.

Diane is survived by her children, Robert E. "Bobby" Dean, Jr. and Gloria Michelle Rock; grandchildren, Lorenzo Deans, Alyssa Dean, Dalton Denning, Kansas Deans, Kendrick Moore and Kyrah Morrison; brothers, Randolph Herring and Milton Stelly; sister-in-law, Connie Herring; nieces and nephews, Victoria Stelly, Milton Stelly, Jr., Desirae Allen and Scott Herring; and a host of other relatives and friends.
