Deaconess Willieanna Dailey Tucker lovingly known as Mom, Momma Tucker, Granny, Auntie, Twinkle Toes and to some family members known as “Mooch,” passed away on Monday morning, October 5, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on March 23, 1941, in Dinwiddie, VA to the late Walter Dailey, Sr. and Marie Robinson Dailey. She married the love of her life Deacon Madison Alexander Tucker and was married for 69 years. Many precious memories until GOD called him home.
At the heart of her life was her family. She was the beloved Matriarch whose love meant so much to those around her. She loved to cook and her collard greens, cabbage and fried potatoes were her specialties.
She had a wonderful sense of humor. Comical in her own special way. That quiet, under humor gave her family something to smile about and leaves them with memories they will continue to treasure. As they honor her life, they will remember her strength.
Momma Tucker was a passionate caregiver to many. She cared for her mother-in-law, husband, mother, uncle, son and sister all while working.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rocky Mount Baptist Church in McKenney, VA, then joined Sharon Baptist Church while performing the duties of sexton after the passing of her husband for many years.
She received her early education at Sharon School in Dinwiddie, VA, a one room school where children of various grade levels were educated during that time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Madison A. Tucker; sons, Madison Keith Tucker, Troy Milton Tucker, Sr.; brother, Walter Dailey, Jr.; sister, Ida Bell Allen; and sister-in-law, Annie Dailey. She retired from Kenner Army Hospital in Fort Lee and committed to 30 years of service as an Environmental Service Worker. Her former employment included Virginia State University and Hill Phoenix.
Momma Tucker leaves to cherish her memories with a devoted son, Pernell R. Tucker; devoted daughter, Sharon Tucker-Brown (Jeremiah); one daughter-in-law, Valerie H. Tucker; a devoted niece, Kathy Hunter, whom she help raised; one brother, James Dailey; grandchildren, Kendale Tucker (Tierra), Will Tucker, Troy Tucker, Jr. (Kelsie), Laticia Tucker, Erika Brown and Ja’Vion Brown; two great grandchildren who she loved dearly, Kiondré Devon Tucker and Maryanna Ashea Tucker; devoted cousins, Arthur Robinson and Shirley Grantley; devoted great nephew, Ferrell Minor; devoted friends, Rosa Woodley, Nancie Rives, Frances Robinson and Deacon Lloyd Batts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Special Thanks to Dinwiddie Health & Rehab, Bon Secours Hospice Team of St. Mary’s Hospital, Dr. K. Agyeman of Community Cardiology, Sharon Jackson and the Sharon Baptist Church Family.
Services will be held 12 Noon, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Sharon Baptist Church, 26804 Fort Emory Road, Dinwiddie, VA, the Rev. Terry Norman, Pastor and Rev. Dr. Herbert W. Anderson, eulogist. The interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
