Ms. Darneesha Nicole Barnes, affectionately known as "Dar-Dar", was born on October 13, 1994, to Judy Chambliss and Darrell Gee. She departed this life on October 18, 2025.

Darneesha attended Sussex County and Hopewell Public Schools. She later achieved her GED at Fayetteville Tech Community College in Fayetteville, NC. She worked as a CNA until her son Ke'Mari was born, which was her passion.

Darneesha was preceded in death by her brother, Deonte Green; sister, Shaniece; maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Queen Barnes; paternal grandfather, William Earl Knight; and great grandparents, William and Rosa Gee.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her one and only son, Ke'Mari Barnes;  mother, Judy Barnes Chambliss and stepfather, Cornell Chambliss; father, Darrell Gee; grandmother, Rosa G. Harper (Ralph, deceased); seven brothers, Cordell Chambliss, Malik Chambliss, Jaquan Chambliss , Tyrese Chambliss, Cornell  Day, Anthony Day and Jason Day; five sisters, Takiara Day, Lydia Gaines, Tiyuana Greene, Shemaia Gee and Eron Brewton; four aunts, Amanda Williams, Katie and Sharee Chambliss, Cynthia Barnes Hill (devoted whom she called her "Ma" and lived up to that name); nine uncles, Marvin, Kenny, Anthony, Ronald, Donald, and Lamont Chambliss, Darryl, Corey and Carlos Barnes; and a host of cousins and friends too numerous to name.

Darneesha's charismatic personality, kind heart and sense of humor made her a friend to many. She rooted constantly for the underdogs, making everyone feel special. She will truly be missed.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.
