Darius C.
Mccall
Mar 23, 1973 — Jun 17, 2026
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7
With profound sadness, yet with confidence in God's promise of eternal life, we celebrate the life and legacy of Darius Caru McCall, who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 53.
Darius was born on March 23, 1973, in Big Rapids, Michigan, to the loving union of Leticia A. Walton and Henry J. Walton. From an early age, Darius possessed a strong spirit, a determined mind, and a heart that deeply loved those closest to him.
Darius pursued higher education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He went on to build a distinguished career with UPS, where he faithfully served as a driver for 33 years. At UPS he met his devoted wife of 23 years Tracy McCall. His dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of his coworkers and friends alike.
The love Darius and Tracy shared was a true testament to God's design for marriage. For 29 years they walked hand in hand through life's joys and challenges. Family and friends often remarked that where you saw Darius, Tracy was never far behind, and where you found Tracy, Darius was sure to be near. Their unwavering devotion to one another reflected a love rooted in faith, commitment, and friendship
Darius was a member of Second Baptist Church, where his love for gospel music flourished. He found great joy in listening to, directing, and sharing gospel music with others. His faith was an important part of his life and helped shape the man he became.
Those who knew Darius knew he lived life on his own terms. He was strong-willed, outspoken, and never afraid to stand firm in what he believed. While some knew him as stubborn and contentious, those closest to him understood that beneath that tough exterior was a man who loved deeply and cared fiercely for his family and friends. He could light up a room among those he knew, yet remained quietly reserved in unfamiliar settings.
Darius found happiness in Tracy, fashion, traveling, cooking meals for loved ones, directing his choir of batteries (they always paid attention and didn't sing a wrong note), biking, walking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Pam McLean (Craig McLean).
Darius leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving and devoted wife, Tracy M. McCall; his beloved fur babies, Moca McCall and Slayte McCall; his parents, Leticia A. Walton and Henry J. Walton; his sister, Salena Walton; brothers, Randy Stone (Tara), Daryl Wake (Meshika), Shawn Woodson (Colleen), and Jacob Price (Shatara); sisters, Cynthia Roney (Tony), Jennifer Kirkland, Shelia Peerman-Williams (Juan); his grandmother, Mary Collins-Hunter; his godmother, Gloria Charity (Howard); his father-in-law, Butch Stone; aunts, Rose Collins-Gilbert, Terry Collins, and Keiuna Collins-Bryant; nieces, nephews, and extended family members including Randall, Tyler, Allison, Jeremiah, Gracie, Christopher, Karina, Roger, Kayla, Kristian, and Naomi; along with a host of cousins, relatives, church family, coworkers, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
The family of Darius Caru McCall gratefully acknowledges every act of kindness, every prayer, every expression of sympathy, and every gesture of love shown during this difficult time. May God richly bless each of you.
