Creshenna A.
S. Jones "Sade"
Jan 9, 1986 — Dec 7, 2025
Creshenna Alicia Sade Jones, affectionally known as "Sade" or "Mama", passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in her home at the age of 39. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Born January 9, 1986, in Petersburg, Virginia, Sade was the beloved daughter of Albert Leon Bowser, Jr. and the late Barbara Darlene Jones.
Sade was preceded in death by her sister, Qiana Jones; her aunts, Theonya "Pooh" Williams and Deia Wilkerson; her great grandmother, Lillie Parker; and her grandfather, Burt Hunter, Sr.
Sade was a proud graduate of Hopewell High School, Class of 2003, where she was actively involved in both basketball and track. During her high school years, she demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and determination, qualities that continued throughout her life. She was passionate about giving back and volunteered with a community outreach program in Davisville, where she generously gave her time and compassion to uplift others. She served for several years as a manager at Subway, earning her colleagues' respect through reliability, leadership, and a willingness to support others. She was also a dedicated assistant to her grandfather, Burt Hunter, where she worked closely alongside him, assisting and overseeing the "club" and his other daily business operations and supporting its ongoing mission.
Sade leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Amil Jones, Talia Jones, and Ariah Jones (her daughters' father, Alphonso T. Jones); father, Leon Bowser, Jr.; grandmother, Barbara Hunter; grandfather, Albert L. Bowser, Sr.; brothers, Tyzjuan Jones and Miateas Jones (Aerial); bonus mother, Paula Bowser; sisters, Tiffany Tucker and Kenyah Ruffin; aunts, Ollie Hunter (Jerry), Levine Hunter (Raymond II) and Catrina Bowser; uncles, Burt Lanier Hunter III (Tina), Jaylon Hunter and John Jones; beloved nieces and nephews, Ashanti, Tiyonna, Tyzjuan, ZyQuà, Fred, Zhiyon, Tinaé, Qiana, Avyah, Alana, Khaziya, Zaheva and Amir; devoted cousins, Adam Bowser (Shala), Augusta "Gussy" Vincent, Raymond "Ray Ray" Saunders, and Dawnyia Thompson; and a host of other relatives, and her best friends, Reashonda, Kenan, Spud and Mann Mann.
Sade fought a good fight and kept the faith throughout her life, especially during her illness. She often expressed her appreciation to her family for their love and commitment to caring for her during her illness. She was a kind and loving person. She was also a person who would not hesitate to speak her mind at any time. She said what she felt, and either you liked what she said, or you didn't.
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:37-39 NIV
