Christina "Tina" Renee Basinger of Fisherville, VA, a devoted mother, cherished daughter, and beloved sister, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was 46.

Born on October 25, 1978, in Fairfax County, Virginia, Christina was a graduate of Stafford High School and later pursued studies in peer counseling at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Throughout her life, she faced personal challenges with remarkable resilience and a sunny disposition that uplifted those around her.

Tina was known for her love of life's simple pleasures-spending time with family and friends, indulging in snacks, and playing cards. Her appreciation for music, art, and movies reflected her vibrant personality and creative spirit. She had a natural gift for connecting with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Derrick Washington, Jr.; her mother, Doris Griffin; her sister, Brenda Zimmerman and husband Jason; her nephew, Evan Zimmerman; niece, Allison Zimmerman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Tina was preceded in death by her father, David Basinger.

All whose lives were touched by Christina are invited to attend and share in remembering the joy and kindness she brought into the world.
