Obituary

Christina Marie Crowell Hopkins was born on July 5, 1953, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to the late Fay Samuels Crowell and Halbert Donovan Crowell, Sr. On August 4, 2026, Christina was called home to be with the Lord.

Christina was educated in the public schools of Detroit, Michigan. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was married to Donald Hopkins, with whom she shared a life filled with love and family.

Christina was the proud mother of four living children, Reginald, Christin (Kia), Jamaine (Lakeisha), and Don (Tyree). She leaves behind twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her love, memories, and legacy in their hearts.

Christina lived life with a joyful and adventurous spirit. During her younger years, she loved going skating, riding roller coasters, bowling, and competing in several sports. She had a natural love for music and, most of all, loved to have fun and laugh. Her laughter, personality, and ability to enjoy the simple pleasures of life brought happiness to those around her.

Christina also had a beautiful sense of style. She loved fashion, jewelry, perfumes, and styling her hair. She took pride in her appearance and enjoyed expressing herself through her unique style and personality.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents, Fay Samuels Crowell and Halbert Donovan Crowell, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Donald Hopkins; her four children, Reginald, Christin, Jamaine, and Don; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Indius, Byron (deceased), Donna, Jacqueline, Janice, Halbert Donovan Jr., and Kimberly, along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Though Christina has answered the call to her eternal home, her laughter, love, strength, style, and beautiful spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

May Christina rest peacefully, knowing that her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a legacy that will continue for generations to come.
